Capt. Benjamin M. Middendorf, the former commanding officer of Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, receives the Bronze Star with a combat distinguishing device on May 16, 2013 for his actions as the commanding officer of Golf, Co., during their tour in Afghanistan in 2012.
